Sending messages

Starting a conversation from Flyra keeps it on the customer's record and off anyone's personal phone.
1. New conversation
The New button in the Inbox.

It opens Start New Conversation.

2. Find the customer
One search box: "Search customers by name, phone, or email…".

Pick the customer and the thread opens.

The faster route
If you're already looking at a customer or a job, message from there instead. A lead's detail page has Send Message, and job pages have their own messaging actions. Those attach the conversation to the right record without a search.

Before you type
Check Pending Automations on the customer record. If Flyra is about to send an appointment reminder in an hour, your manual "see you tomorrow" text is going to look like a mistake.
This is the most common way businesses accidentally spam their own customers: a person and an automation both doing the same job.
What to send
Texts, for home services, beat email for anything time-sensitive. Short, name your business, one point per message.
Payment links are the exception worth calling out: sending a payment link by text from the job page gets you paid faster than any invoice email.
Tips and gotchas
- Check Pending Automations first. Avoid doubling up.
- Message from the record, not the Inbox, when you already have it open.
- Texts send from your Flyra number, so the customer sees a consistent number every time.
- Team chat is separate. Make sure you're on the right tab before typing something internal.
