Converting a lead into a customer

A lead becomes a customer when they say yes. Converting keeps everything you already recorded, the notes, the address, the service type, and moves them into your customer list where jobs and invoices can attach to them.
1. Open the lead
Click the card on the board, or the row in Table view.

The lead detail page shows their contact details, the stage they're in, and three tabs: Timeline, Messages and Workflows.

2. Convert to Customer
The button that does the actual work. It creates a customer record carrying the lead's details across, and from that point you can schedule jobs and send invoices against them.
Convert when they've agreed to work, not when they seem keen. Converting too early fills your customer list with people who never bought, which makes your customer count meaningless.

3. Create Estimate
You don't have to convert first. Create Estimate quotes them while they're still a lead, which is usually the right order: quote, then convert when they accept.

The other buttons
Send Message texts or emails them without leaving the page, and the exchange is recorded on the Messages tab.
Mark Lost moves them to the Lost stage. Use it. A lead you never mark lost sits in your pipeline forever inflating your numbers, and "we'll circle back" is how a board fills with dead weight.
Edit changes their details. Add a note and Record voice memo both attach to the Timeline.
The tabs
Timeline is everything that has happened with this lead in order, including a count badge.
Messages is the text and email thread.
Workflows shows which automated sequences this lead is in, so you can see what Flyra is about to send them before you send something yourself.

Tips and gotchas
- Quote before converting. Estimates work fine on a lead.
- Mark Lost honestly. Your win rate is only useful if losses get recorded.
- Converting keeps the history. Notes and address come across, so don't retype anything.
- Check Workflows before messaging. Saves sending a manual text minutes before an automated one.
