Where jobs live

Flyra has no Jobs page. There's no Jobs icon in the sidebar, and typing /jobs gets you "Page Not Found". This trips up nearly everyone, so it's worth clearing up before anything else.

Jobs are created from the + Create button or from a customer's record, and afterwards they live in three places: on the customer, on the Schedule, and in Reports.

1. The + Create button

The black + at the top of the sidebar. It works from any page.

2. Job

Five options: Job, Subscription, Invoice, Estimate, Customer. Job opens the job builder.

3. Or from the customer

If you already know who the job is for, Schedule Job in Quick Actions on their record is better. Same builder, but the customer is filled in and you skip the search.

4. Where they end up

Three places, and each answers a different question:

  • The customer's Jobs tab answers "what have we done for this person". It shows the service, date, status and value, with a count badge on the tab.
  • The Schedule answers "what's happening Thursday".
  • Reports > Jobs answers "how much work did we do last month, and where did it come from".

Tips and gotchas

  • There is no Jobs page. If you're hunting for one, use the customer record or the Schedule.
  • Estimates and Invoices work the same way. Same Create menu, same absence of a nav item.
  • Creating from the customer saves a step, and avoids attaching a job to the wrong person.
